Type B Waste Type B (Normal Form)
Cutaway image of sealed capsule, contaiining radioactive material in a sealed source which is either a single solid piece or is contained in a sealed capsule that can be opened only by destroying the capsule and has been tested and meets the qualification requirements in 10 CFR 71.75. Examples include radiography cameras and irradiators. The cutaway image shows the various layered structure material of the sealed capsule, with the words 'Stainless steel outside' pointing to the outer surface; 'Stainless steel inside', pointing to the inner surface, and 'Cobalt 60' pointing to the most inner material. A fuel assembly with the top portion separated from the rest of the fuel assembly; appearance is a long rectangular box, silver in color with multiple louvers over the entire surface. It is used to house the long, slender, metal tubes containing pellets of fissionable material, which provide fuel for nuclear reactors
